Mnemosyne, o la costruzione del senso  n° 10, 2017

Most of the following rules/indications correspond to the formatting specified for the previous issues of Mnemosyne.

1        The article must be original, i.e. the material must not have been published in other journals or texts.

A statement on the originality of the author's own article, should be sent simultaneously to the text.

2         The text should not exceed the 30.000 characters, including spaces, notes and abstract. The first note after  the author’s name under the title of the article, must report the details about the institution of the author.

Some images (max. 3) may be reproduced in black and white, in absence of copyright.

3         The point must be after the note number, as in the following examples: The road is long.; (Xxxxx) and the note number in the parentheses. The note after the quotes: « »  

4. Format:

*Times new roman 10,  citation Times new roman 9,  notes Times new roman 8,5

*Indentation first line 0,28

*Indentation citation 0,8 for the two sides

* Note shouldn't have indentation

5        Quotations  shorter than 5 lines must remain in the text, within this kind of quotes:
« XXXXX  »   [If there two or more quotations shorter than 5 lines are close in the text, for example separated by a brief comment, the standard format for the quotations is fine], ex. :
My drama is the story of an individual who has lived, just that. On stage, my only theatrical license is to tell the journey in my own way, as I think it is more interesting for the story itself, and not just for what I really saw.

I do not have a text by heart. I know the story and re-story changing words, adding and removing every now and then ... I can think of the stories I heard and I back natural re-telling of those too. At the end of the show changes each time, each replica is a variant that can vary greatly.
If the citation format is essential for you, please respect the minimum length of 5 lines.

6        Ibidem, if the text and the page are the same as in the previous note.
If one reports to the same work, but referring to different pages than the ones of the previous notes  Ibid., p. xx

7        The last name must be in capital letters Aldo NATOLI, Title, Naples, Palumbo, p. 99. (Or p. 35-79). In the notes following in the text resume always the name of the author and the title of the work : A. NATOLI, Title, op. cit., p. XXX.

8         Provide subtitles (at least 3).

9         Title and Subtitle: max 44 characters, including spaces. Include your name and a brief title (max 50/55 characters) in the header at the top right of your essay,: Beatrice Barbalato: Toni e sfumature del  velo di Maja  

10        Always mention the date of the first edition of a referenced work and the names of the translators.

11     Italo CALVINO, « XXXXX  » , in Id. (if the author is the same), or: in Giorgio FANI, Elisir, Firenze, Caselli, 1987.

12     An abstract of about 150 words in the language of the intervention and in English, will be drawn up after the assessment of the referee. Please Respect this length.

13    Punctuation: point, comma, are attached to the previous word and a space must be inserted with the following word: comment ? Ça va ! c'est-à-dire :
A space must be inserted between the semicolon, colon, exclamation and interrogation points, quotation marks, and the previous word.

14     An article must be cited as follows: "The moon," Corriere della Sera, 12/05/2001.
If the article is part of an anthology: Name SURNAME, " The santé " in Name SURNAME, dir. (Or id. Whether the author is the same), Title, city, publisher, year, p.

15     Do not use a model: the format is part of our responsibility; pre-established setting increase difficulties in our work.

Reviewers are chosen according to the language of the article and the particular discipline contained in the article. They are required to check: 

The reviewer are all external, which mean that they are not internal authors of Mnemosyne. The reviewer are affiliated to universities or organism other than university sector where the magazine is published.
